General Services

The Department of General Services provides maintenance, construction and repair service for more than 200 City-owned public buildings including those operated by the Fire Department, Recreation and Parks and the Enoch Pratt Free Library. The Department maintains a fleet of more than 5,400 pieces of motorized equipment including Police and Fire Department vehicles and apparatus. CitiStat meetings focus on issues related to the internal functions of General Services such as fleet management and facility maintenance in addition to the external functions of service to the citizens of Baltimore.
